[NLD] Zebralight SC65c Hi

Im happy to say the low mode PWM does not flicker visibly, to my eye. Although the Opple ranks the Flicker Index as High Risk on the two lowest modes:

those two outputs are from my own lumen meter and they match the official specs almost exactly (spec level 1 is 0.03 lm, and level 2 is 0.11 lm)…

Even waving the light on level 1 does not produce discrete dots:

visible flicker was expected based on other peoples reports… but I dont see it on this one, so I think I won the lottery… lol

also pleased the Tint DUV is not above the BBL… looking forward to night time

outputs on my meter, and my G6 program:

I prefer the SC64c LE driver, it keeps the LED at more Constant Lux, uses a lower Modulation Depth, higher frequency, and lower Flicker Index score, than the SC65:

On Level 1, the SC65c is using slow PWM, at 253Hz, and the Minimum Lux is cycling all the way Off.

here is Opple 3 Flicker Index tests for all 12 levels:

(lumens from my meter read high due to the small LED w intense hotspot)

Only if this had a B35AM 5000K emitter…

here it is!

fwiw, @thefreeman has been ill, I encourage people to send him well wishes and kind words of support, by PM

That Freeman ZL is amazing…

FWIW - I’ve never noticed either of the complaints I’ve seen about some folks SC65c HI - mine doesn’t flicker on lvl 1 and I find the beam pleasantly neutral.

It’s my favorite backup light, by far.

yay
I cant see the flicker in mine neither… my Opple can:

the SC65 driver uses deeper modulation, and deeper dimming of the Lux output, resulting in higher Flicker Index…

I still rely on folks like you for the technical stuff - 5-ish years into this hobby and I’m still just a kid with a bunch of lightsabers!
