Neal kindly sent the NLIGHTD L2 for review.
It’s a small LEP torch with a forward-clicky tail switch and two modes. Low and High. The UI has mode memory.
It only supports a flat top 3.7V 14500 Li-ion cell. Button top 14500 are too long.
The throw is decent. I measured over 700 metres at 10 metres.
The hot spot is wider than an Amutorch BT35. I find it to be practical. I can shine the beam about five metres away and use it to walk around at night. Usually the beam is too intense for a LEP at close range.
Output is well regulated. The step down is nice.
The runtime is a bit short. I guess that’s to be expected with a 14500.
