Now here's a C8 camo job I can live with............................

Yeah, I ordered one. 8) Figured XM-L T6 with what appears a really nice clean camo pattern, what the heck. A bug-out-bag special for those who might live someday in sandy-tan desert areas. The hi-glow button may give ya away though if you’re trying to hide behind a nasty cholla cactus. :open_mouth: We’ll see if it arrives as advertised. :cowboy_hat_face:

Btw, does anyone know where I can get a car charger for this thing? It appears these single 18650 rechargeables are a standard end plug type arrangement. Not a 5.5mm that plugs into a IntelliCharger i4, but I wanna say maybe 3mm like this? (If anything I guess, this could be kinda nice to have in case someone else in an emergency has one of these rechargeables laying about. Hey, any excuse to buy another torch, right?)

I’m having a heck of time even on e-Bay finding this cat without extrees thrown in. Just the charger, maam, just the charger……

or……

What about something like this….would this work?

That is a different looking camo, kinda like it. Thanksgiving style.

Good old real tree woodland camo, I have a hunting jacket with the same design, looks awesome. I’m not buying the run time though, not on high at least - its either driven at 1.5a - 3000mah battery or its crap talk.

and it truly has for instance a real honest to Betsy Ross aluminum reflector, and the camo doesn’t flake off when I fart on it, then bulk-buy maybe here I come. But prolly just one will do ‘cause I’m sorta gettin’ enough lights now. :open_mouth:

Yeah, this would be a good turkey shootin’ torch to show off to yer envious turkeyless buddies. 8)

I’ll prolly end up bridging a capacitor if it’s a next mode memory BS deal though - but I can live with 3 secs and it’s back on high. Or just go single mode which I’m becoming more and more enamored with these days. I don’t know, it just seems so, so, simple in an evermore complex world. Just grab a light, hit the button and……! :stuck_out_tongue:

If worse comes to worse and it’s a POS, I’ll yank the emitter and use it as a host one of these years.

what China torch budget hunting’s all about IMO is trying to determine which seller has the least crap talk vs real talk ratio. I’ve never bought from this outfit before so it’s another light roulette wheel in the lumen casino of mainland China.

It’s kinda like scrounging around thrift stores looking for a bargain of the decade. Most of the time ya walk out thinking……’Why in the hell did I buy this?”

Oh, I hear that, I always seem to get unlucky hence my current penchant for buying hosts, LEDs and drivers and assembling myself. Or buying lights cheap so I’m not upset about adding four quid to the cost to get a nice driver in there.

Exceptions are rare - my uf-v3, its underdriven, but such a nice little light to pocket, with usefully spaced modes, able to tailstand etc. I’ve got three 4a drivers on the way, they sound good - user selectable mode groups - 3 mode, ramping mode, strobes or single mode. One would be real nice in your hd2010 (you’ll have to come up with a way of adapting down to 17mm but its possible, been done) with a u2/u3 emitter.

Man, isn’t this just the prettiest dang camo on a torch you’ve seen in a long time? I can’t take my eyes off it. I mean it looks quality-detailed, crisp overlays, and the deep brown/light brown colorations. Why I could be proud whipping this out in the field even in the dark where no one can tell it’s camo.

Could this possibly be photo-shopped from RealTree? It looks too good to be true - especially from China where prolly camo-stuff this genuine-looking is pert near illegal to own by civilians.

Watch. I’ll get it and it’ll be tape that magically peels off only whenever I touch it with something not recommended by the manufacturer, like a hand. :open_mouth:

So ya, this XML torch just might be a fairly good deal. H)

Speaking of other gorgeous camo jobs…… :open_mouth:

How about this one. Camo style

I cant get the right light to show up, it keeps going to the home page. Sorry.

………

It’s probably some kind of digital print, over here you can get real tree camo “wraps” for cars, there is a Landrover defender running about wigan with it applied…. My coat I mentioned above looks exactly the same, I’ve washed it a few times with no issue so I wouldn’t be too worried.

It is an awesome design, but if your worried about blending in, you have to pick the right design for your local fauna, that one works well in Britain in autumn and spring, but is obviously useless in summer.

The company that does the clothing is called deer stalker, although I have seen rip off’s.

I think you got a bargain if the q5 is dearer, as I see an xm-l as a more versatile led than a q5, but that’s just me.

This one?

I like the camo on this one .

Great light , by the way .

and dam* near XinTd in quality too it appears if not equal. This one may be a Lumatic must have.

Hope not, Scaru. See that camo IMO just looks way too muddy and detailess. I mean it looks like a 5-year old was given some deep brown and infant-poopy shade Crayolas and then went to town and never came back.

While we're off topic, I just noticed I made it into your signature. :D

I must NOT buy any more lights this month.

I must NOT buy any more lights this month.

I must NOT buy any more lights this month……

and at least buy one for the tree so it doesn’t look so bare. :open_mouth:

Irreplaceable, irascible, irreverant, and well just flat-out a good bit beyond incandescently bright.
