This thread is for posting lights in your collection that you find are not suitable for your job. Whether you are in emergency services, maintenance, inspection or any kind of job that requires daily flashlight use, I am sure you have a couple of lights that don’t make the cut.
Out of the 20 or so lights I own, I have 2 lights that never got any pocket time at my work (industrial automation)
I find the SK03 too fragile to bring to work, 1 drop from table height might kill it.
The MAO S2+ looks too pretty to use as a work light and the coating is not scratch resistant enough
I work in IT. More specifically in software support (need a SQL query? Or some server maintenance I got you!) So none of my 100-ish lights are for my job. Well… Other then for my sanity. I play with them when I have a few minutes of down time. So they’re my expensive fidget toys.
I’m the same with mine, fitted with a blue tail switch light it’s too good to use. I think there will be a few MAO finish lights in this thread.
Fireflies NOV-Mu isn’t going to get banged about either, not with that perfect finish. It’s not a light for that’s practical for work except maybe fixing a car engine attached by the magnet.
The Nov-Mu is next on my list, the design is too good. But I keep delaying it as I know its going to be sitting on a shelf collecting dust as another “show piece” light.
