panasonic just announced another special edition eneloop on October 14th.
available from November 29th
they are 4th generation standard eneloops.
after the Glamour tones. now the Forest tones... actually the black and green look pretty cool.
unfortuantely, unlike the 3rd generation chocolat tones with 8 unique colors, these only have 4 variations.
I can`t see yet, if these are made in Japan, or made in China.. but I`m pretty sure they are made in Japan, because they can be found on the Japanese website.. while the china made ones can`t.
btw. I have been waiting for new eneloops. because they have announced the new versions usually around november.
Someone might not get the joke ChibiM :) and actually believe that, hahah
Disney love are nicely designed, I had the Walt Disney 110th Anniversary ones in mind in my previous post.
Anyway I like what they are trying to do with chocolate, uomo, forest.
I’m not feeling the vibe on those color schemes, frankly and will be passing.
I saw some ‘purple’ ones on Ebay, from a Japanese seller, with the Panasonic banner on them, that were interesting. These things were going for $50-$60 per 8 pack, so not cheap.
A year back, WOOT had the 8 packs of AA GLITTERS that they were selling for cheap and I got two sleeves, so I’m good on the ‘colors.’
I’d really like to get some Costco ‘blues’ in AA, to be honest, but I haven’t pulled the trigger yet. My Costco seems to be out of Eneloops, when I was in two days back.
Hi chrisgarrett, do you have a link to those.. I don't know which one you mean, but I think they are just the eneloop uomo.. here in Japan people buy many packs, and put batteries of the same color in 1 pack, and sell them that way.. So if they were all purple, this is probably what happened. Otherwise they sound like the uomo edition.
That’s the set IIRC and they weren’t all purple, but I like purple, so that’s what I remembered. I’m not afraid to admit it, but I also like the hot pick ones, as well.
Dark and light blues are on the list of colors to get next!
Certain markets now get Chinese made cells, while other market still get the Japanese made. Over time, it would be reasonable to assume they will all come from China unless they fail to make a close product to the Japanese cell, or if they can get away with the swap regardless. If you buy on the cheap in a market that is on the Japanese supply chain, you could be getting grey imports of Chinese made stuff.
