very nice find. i like it.
looks to be very bright as well. you guys think 32650 will be brighter than with the 26650?
i hope this is mod friendly.
It will not brighter (if you compare two similar quality cells),but you will have a better runtime
better runtime?i like it
Sweet deal, I wonder if it’ll light up with a d cell in it
You could put this in it.?.?
I’m looking for 1 d cell lights, that run on 1 d cell.
A budget version of the Lumintop sd10 would be nice

According to ft measurements you can,it’s smaller than the 32x65mm of the 32650. it will rattle and be a bit short, so you will have to make some mod.
The problem can be the driver, I don’t know the voltage limits, so probably you can’t suck all energy from nimh if it has some kind of low voltage protection, or is not a boost driver

Just curious, what is the reasoning?
Long runtimes on a 100 lumens.
Great drawer lights, I’d rather have a half dozen 1d lights around the house for emergencies. Due to there size, there easy to find and one battery means I don’t have to worry about mismatched cells.
My son has a lot of toys that take 3 d batteries but a lot of d cells come in 4 packs
Low output and looooooong runtime. The Lumintop sd10 doesn’t have a moonlight mode but would still work great in a long power outage, which happens sometimes at the cabin.
at my place there is always a power outage 2 times a month and about 3 hours long, when that happen its time for me and my flashlights to shine
There pretty rare here, but pretty common at the cabin. I don’t leave many of my lights at the cabin
I like it too. Nice form factor and good price.
But why no mode memory ? Surely it can’t be that difficult to include ?
It probably has PWM? I’ve noticed that FastTech is usually pretty clear about pointing out the constant current lights. It looks neat, though. Just too sensitive to PWM since a brain injury a few years ago. I’ve been eyeballing the Lumintop, though, which I’m pretty sure is constant current.
Which light is better, this trustfire or solarstorm k2?

The Lumintop sd10 does have high frequency pwm on its lower modes. Mine arrived yesterday so I brought it to work and just checked
Noooooooo. But thanks for the heads up, CarpentryHero. Much appreciated. Looks like the D40 or maybe that new EagleTac. I’m scared to leave the house with my EA4 for fear of the switch melting in this hot summer.

I here you, the SWM D40a has become my favorite, my ea8 ballooned some so now it and my two ea4’s are stuck to house duty till winter. It’s one think to edc the ea4 but I take it off to put on my tool belt and don’t want to risk it melting.
