My flashlight was set to silent and now i can’t find it.
Yeah if this thing could boost the signal and takes 18650s, that would be a great hiking/camping backup phone/light. But I bet its “barely functional junk” category instead.

Why not? This phone has a powerful flashlight and a giant subwoofer….seriously though, it is sad they went to all this effort and put a cheap chinese led in it. Would of been nice if it had xp-g2 or xm-l2.
The real problem here is that you guys see this as a cell phone with power bank and flashlight function.
But actually it is a flashlight with 128MB RAM that can make calls, take pictures and play music.

And there are cell phones, new in their boxes, which were made in the 21st Century, which are no longer useable since the tower antennas they used to talk to have all been taken down.
This reminds me of the Socialists “new and improved School Lunch” scheme, where the kids just dump the “we know what’s good for you” food straight in the trash… (This is especially ironic given the recent news from my home State! Haters are a real problem in our society, NOT a joking matter!)
OTOH, I can think of a couple of friends who would likely give me one of these for Christmas or birthday because “it’s just the kind of thing Dimbo would like”. Sheesh! Better for the Greater Good that we nip this abomination in the bud!
I think a lot of people come here to BLF for Good Advice on Good Technology at Reasonable (“Budget” … hello?) prices.
This fails on all three counts. The landfills are already too full of disposable junk. IMNERHO, of course — landfill operators may have a different opinion…
I think the responses to this thread are attempts to render that Good Advice with our customary humor and good cheer.
