Did you hear from Olight?
Between what pictures did you have to use force to open up the flashlight, since they state that battery can’t be replaced?
And why is the magnet solution not something you will use?
Regards
Magnus
They sent me a replacement :-)
Magnet can cause a short, particularly with high-powered flashlights. Better to use solder.
Glad to hear that
Just curious if it is possible to replace the battery after all, without destroying the flashlight in the process
Did you have to send the remainings to Olight, or did they send you a replacement, no questions asked?
Regards,
Magnus
I to received an i1R 2 Pro (i16 Anniversary model) that failed to illuminate. The charging LEDs worked but no light. Olight is sending a replacing and I keep the faulty one.
Now, how to open and troubleshoot?
Using electrical tape and zip ties for grip… and eventually some channel-locks, I got err done. Clearly Finesse did not show up for work today!
Good job!
