I’m looking for a 1 x AAA flashlight that has a momentary push switch on the tail. I only need 1 mode in which the luminous flux of about 200 lumens. I found the Olight I3T EOS online and it has high mode of 180 lumens. Does anyone know how to modify the driver to get rid of the low mode, which is 5 lumens?
I’m also open to other flashlights. I just haven’t been able to find any single mode high power 1 x AAA flashlights.
The Olight i3T is pretty sealed up and I haven’t seem any mods of this light to date (other than an emitter swap.)
FWIW, a 1-mode clicky AAA favorite on BLF is the BLF-348 with Nichia 219B. The original is no longer available but you might be able to find a clone.
Here are examples of copies using the XP-E emitter (throwy) on Amzn and another on eBy.
There’s one catch, the 180 lumen output cited in the sales info is with the light using 10440 lithium rechargeable cells, on an alkaline AAA’s the performance would be more like 50 lumens.
