Hey everyone! I ordered an Olight S1Baton last week, but now I’m racking my brain trying to find the best/good 16340s for it. I have done a bit of research, and I know that none of the big names (i.e. Panasonic, Sony, LG, etc.) make 16340s, so I’m having a hard time. I also want to make sure the battery will fit in the light.
I’ve been thinking about getting these, but I don’t know.

What do you guys suggest?

Why not stick to Olight brand? Their 16340 is pretty cheap and it will ensure a proper fit.

Olight’s own 16340, AW 16340, Soshine 16340 will fit just nice.
I’ve tried all these with my S1
Keeppower 16340 is a bit on the long side, and a bit tricky to screw down the cap

Never tried Nitecore cells as they are on the expensive side.
I would rather buy AW cells

Better buy the olight one, so you can only blame 1 vendor when something happens.lol. Also buy an olight charger while you are at it

Thanks for the help guys. I ended up getting an Olight one for now, but those Efest IMRs at RMM are very tempting.

True capacity is around 500mAh, and not 700 as Efest claims.

With my collection of 16340 getting a little on the old side ( half a decade ) , I decided it was time to buy some new batteries . Trolling ebay I came across the Efest batteries , and I thought , why not ! The following chart is a 0.5A discharge , the two batteries were each charged and discharged three times .
After the 0.5A discharge , I put each battery through a 1A discharge resulting in :
Batt 1 - 511mAh
Batt 2 - 527mAh
And then I decided to try a 0.2A …

I use KeepPower 16340s in my S1 without issue. I guess YMMV, as always, but they work for me.

I’ve also Keeppower 16340 at home but they are a bit long (maybe by 1-2mm the most) compared to standard CR123 or other RC123 that I mentioned. They still work on my S1 just that I prefer to use my other cells. As you said, YMMV.
i tried tf 16340 it doesnt fit. same as keep power protected. :_(
im sticking with nitecore rcr123a for now.
