Although I put battery life up as up to 5 hours, it will actually keep shining for a very very long time, up to a day or so, but after 5 hours or so the light is no longer “usable”, the light also works well as a hand warmer after about 5 minutes.
The beam of this light is really good, it gives you a good spread in a square shape with a bright center.
The driver board has no ic’s or chips, just 7 R2 resistors, with 1 vacant slot. It’s marked as 39K22L U1
All in all, it’s been a very bright and durable light, it has spent hundreds of days in my pocket with my keys, fallen into a vat of coolant and hot motor oil and been submerged on several occasions always ready for action, taken countless falls to the ground. It still feels great in the hand, the only snag is the short battery life.
