Last winter I saw a front yard of ~50ft. x ~100ft. decorated with what must have been a string of colored micro LED lights lying on the surface. It appeared that each LED was widely-spaced from it’s neighbor by (guessing) 3ft. or more. The individual lights so widely spaced made a unique visual.
I’ve not been able to find any such micro LED string. Most have LED spacing of 612 inches or, far less, which is too dense for the desired effect.
Occurs to me that, the wire itself of a micro LED string becomes a financially-limiting factor, because one LED per 3 ft. is more ‘expensive’ per LED than one LED per 6 inches. Tells me that micro LEDs must be cheaper that small gauge copper wire.
Far prefer an outdoor string that runs on grid power. Don’t care about a gazillion modes; slow glow is a preferred option. Second choice would be battery with solar charging.
Advice , anyone?
Thx.
