P60 reflector suggestion

I had my Skyray SR5 clone serving me very well but the chrome reflector started to peel off

what would be the best move to my solution?

To peel it off when it starts cracking badly and polish it to mirror shine afterwards?

or to risk buying a new p60 reflector? (because I’m worried my current driver is too small for the average p60 to hold it

The reflector is still in okay condition but as time passes the reflector is going to peel off entirely so I’m just taking safety measures for now :weary:

As inexpensive as empty p60 dropins are I'd take a chance on another reflector fitting fine. If not I would just replace it pill and all. Polishing them never seems to get as good a performance as a properly plated one.

I’m curious~

Is it because polishing it will lead to oxidation that causes the poor quality or is it just that chrome plated is that good in reflecting light?
or other factors?
