Pack Busters? A Little Help, Please?

I was just wondering if anyone has ever found any 14500s in a pack. Any pack.

I’d like to play with some, but shy away from paying full retail, especially for AA form-factor lights I seldom use. If they come in a pack I could look to recyclers for the device that takes that pack, as you know.

I figure their capacity is too small to lure manufacturer’s engineers to their size, but I’m just…

Dim

This is not to say that it’s impossible, but I haven’t heard of any packs that have 14500s. There was one awhile ago, that some of us got off of Ebay, that had 18500s, but other than that one, all of the ones I’ve heard about have 18650s.

That pack is still available. I got one yesterday

I’ve never found 14500’s and I’ve found some very strange sizes. I’ve found lots of 18500’s, some 17650’s even 17500’s. Never found a 14xxx or anything larger than 18650.

The only place I’ve found them is in electric toothbrushes and some electric razors
Unfortunately they only have one in, sometimes two In an electric razor
Also there is another device that sometimes uses them, but people tend not to place them in the electronics recycling bin at the family store

Modular drive bay batteries look like they might have 14500's in them, but I haven't busted any of mine apart yet.

Once upon a time, I ended up with a spare toshiba tablet battery. I busted it open, and it contained smaller cells, but if I remember right, they were more like AAA sized. I recently saw a similar pack in the battery bin of a used PC shop and bought it for $1. Inside I found prismatic cells.

meijer stores recently dumped a lot of ultralast stock here.
i bought a bunch of packs for nikon en-el1.
each has 2 14500 inside.you will need to shrinkwrap as they are bare.
ought to be cheap on ebay now.

I reckon camera batteries are a prime candidate for 14500 size cells. I see piles of them at the flea market for like 50 cents a piece. (in as is condition).

i have some older nikon el1 and i tested them.they are beat. max current charging on the triton was 200ma hitting 420 within minutes.started with pack at 6.4v.
going to save the board and recycle.the rest.
