Package goes missing, shipping company has history of complaints

Agree regarding Yanwen. When my Aliexpress orders switched from Yanwen to PiggyShip, the number of orders I placed also went down. I ain’t messing around with that.

Yanwen Logistics also provides a variety of transportation services. We can divide it into general transportation service and fast transportation service. I haven’t used the general service of Yanwen Logistics to send packages from China to the United States, but I guess it also works with uniuni.
The fast shipping service of yanwen is working directly with USPS and Ontrac.

The delivery speed of uniuni is good , the transportation cost is cheaper.but delivery service is terrible. As a result, it gives users a very bad impression.

Similarly, other logistics companies also have such classification of transportation services.

This is why I hate AliExpress cainiao
Cainiao charges a high shipping fee, but it uses a cheap shipping route to ship the package.

If you buy items in different AliExpress stores, Cainiao will automatically combine these packages to earn more money.
Merging of parcels is mandatory. If multiple packages do not arrive at the warehouse at the same time, the logistics time will be delayed.
The merging of packages is done by people, not machines. So the merging of the wrong items often occurs. When consumers are faced with this problem and apply for a refund, Aliexpress merchants are unable to provide evidence to appeal to AliExpress. So in the end, the problem of Cainiao Company is borne by AliExpress merchants.

That’s terrible! They don’t do that here, if no-one’s in to take the package they leave a card for you to arrange re-delivery. If you want it to just be left you have to specify a safe place, for example a closed porch, you then accept all responsibility for it once it’s been left there.

I’d really not be happy for something to be delivered meaning abandoned in front of the house.

Well, it isn’t 100% one way.

Some (most?) shipping companies offer the option for the sender to require a signature at the door. If that choice is selected, then there will be a certain number of attempts to redeliver before the package returns to the sender. The receiver may also have the option to pick up the package from a carrier location if they know the redelivery won’t land when they are home.

(I have no idea what options are available for shipment that connects from China, it might be different.)

Some of my orders from Aliexpress has been using Yuntrack which use photographs of the the package and porch as proof of delivery. Amazon and Walmart also do this as well.

I don’t many speak about Yuntrack I’ve have good results with them, their tracking updates are fairly accurate and delivery has been speedy.

I solved the mystery

Taking pictures of packages left outside the door really isn’t a delivery. I live in San Francisco, California, and most homes here are right next to the sidewalk. And the homes are right next to each other.

Lots of times the delivery people are too lazy to even ring our doorbell.

Any package left outside my gate can be picked up by anyone walking by.

Even funnier are the stories of people getting verification pictures that are taken on the side of a freeway, complete with guard rail and traffic. Is that the 80? 780? 880? 4? 101? Who knows.

I guess if it’s in the same county it’s close enough :scream:

If the package is stolen or not delivered I assume that the seller is legally responsible for shipping a replacement or issuing a refund?

No doubt though that some will try to weasel their way out of it.

China’s express industry is very developed.
The city where I live is full of express parcel storage cabinets or parcel storage points.
If the package has to be left at your door, the courier will call you in advance and with your permission.

When shipping in the US, you can choose the option, “Signature required” when shipping with a good carrier. This means that if the receiver is not home to accept the package, it will go to a carrier location where they can retrieve it.

In China, there may be many small reliable shipping companies but here in the US customers mostly trust the bigger companies. As you can tell from the stories, the little carriers around here are not as reliable as the bigger ones.

Shipping with bigger companies like Fedex, UPS, and USPS is probably more expensive though. Some people might be willing to risk less reliable shipping for a lower price. I think the best solution is to try and figure out a shipping option that requires a signature on the final part of shipment, and offer that as a separate option. In addition, maybe put a small disclaimer next to the cheapest shipping option to let buyers know that the tracking might be spotty and the package might be left without signature.

“Signature required” An additional CNY 25 will be charged to the sender for this service.

I would add it as an extra option for those who want it
