nodoubt, I heard they figured out a solid way to de-dome the Luminus SST-40 and will be using it in the GT, 2600 lumens with 3V emitter so the cells are being re-arranged in parallel for a humongous run time advantage. Still expecting 1.4Mcd from the new reflector and they think they can have them shipped before the end of the month so we’ll have em for the Holidays. 
I’m only part Irish, but the Scot in me made me tell that one. 
Hmm, maybe it was Irish in me that made me do it….
On the other hand, there’s enough German in my blood to have some bits of truth in that story…
Probably the Brit in me that made me file this disclaimer.
In theory, you would not gain much runtime at all. Maybe a little bit.
SST40 - 2400 lumen at 9 amps 4 volts
Xhp35 - 2700 lumen at 10 amps 4 volts (same as 2.5 amps at 16 volts)
Ps, I heard Lumintop got a good deal on a 7” reflector size so they are bumping up the head to match it. Throw should now be about 2 miles!

The down payment part was only for the first 555 on the list.
For everyone else, payment details are not set. Once production starts and it gets close to buying time you will get a PM telling you all the details. What store to go to and what special code to enter to get the discounted price, etc… We may even need to do a small deposit before that. It’s still not known.
So for now we wait.
