I have high hopes for an xhp70.2 in the GT. It should hopefully reduce the dark spot enough to make it usable without shaving and with shaving I think it will be very usable at distance but obviously have not tried it yet to know for sure. Waiting for the money to get an xhp70.2 and the sense resistor.
I just kind Jimmie rigged the centering ring right now, I 3D printed up some new centering rings today though, so I should be able to get a better idea soon.
does your state allow you to have any kind of firearm around you while you’re spotting? Even if I have a pistol in the car in Kansas, they cite me for poaching if we are spotting. You can spotlight at night but cannot posses a firearm while doing so. I currently use an olight M3XS-UT that I spot deer with.
I know you didn’t ask, but in Maine even if no firearm it’s still “illuminating”. With a firearm it’s “jacking” to the best of my knowledge. Neither one is good for the doer. Both means that a game warden gets to use what you paid for (basically) and other penalties. It’s worse during certain times of the year, right now being one of them. Heck, they’ve nabbed folks for turning around and shining headlights into a field. I must admit I don’t know the exact circumstances. It’s best not to test things.
I told her I do not need that light. It’s size is too big to be practical in any way. I will only use it very rarely but I want it! No unmodified LED light throws farther.
It is the same way in Alabama Brian. If you are caught ‘shining’ game, gun or not; there is a price to pay.
You have a rifle in the vehicle too…. your screwed……
There have been no list updates since 11/11. So the Miller should add you when he does the next update. It won’t be around 600, though. It should be in the 1200 range.
