It doesn’t hurt to sign up for the batteries now. Your not under any obligation to buy, but it helps Madmax to know how many sets of cells he needs to order.
You’ll be able to choose your shipping when you order.
No, there is not enough battery capacity to sustain it that long.
Using the short prototype and 4 30Q cells running at 2A it stayed in regulation for 45 minutes. Using 8 cells should give 1.5 hours and another ~1.5 hours before it hits LVP.
Using 35E cells will give it a bit longer run time.
Running it at 2.5A shortens these times, obviously.
This project looks to be an enormous amount of work, thank you to all the members who have put in all the effort to bring it to fruition! The prototype looks fantastic!

Why don’t we wait until the Miller is here before we make assumptions about his feelings. I believe he actually has a sense of humor and CAN recognize a Joke when he hears one. I wish more people here could say the same about themselves. It’s waaaaay to easy to offend
lots of People here over trivial stuff. Cheers.
Some advise please.
I made payment about 8 hours ago and received the confirmation of payment from Paypal.
However, i have not got the second e-mail where i shall confirm my username and telephone number.
Should i just wait further or contact someone?
Checked the spam/junkmail folder but not found it there either.
However i took the advise and have sent a pm to Neal and im sure it will be sorted out.
Does anyone have any ideas where to get a budget friendly lens cap/cover for the GT available either in the UK or from one of the big Chinese sellers ?
Someone posted about a neoprene cover available for about $7 on Amazon US, which looks perfect, but the same cover on Amazon UK is about $25.
I have not been able to find anything suitable & budget friendly (134mm id) on Amazon UK, Ebay UK or any of the Chinese sites.
I have seen a camera lens cover that will fit but it is over $100 so the same price as the GT itself.
Neals wedding day is just 3 days away, so needless to say I think he underestimated the amount of work that would be and it is taking a lot of his time. How he has ANY time to spend on the GT I have no idea.
It also sounds like the Qc checks and final packing have been taking longer then they planned. Which is a good sign, it means they are fully testing the lights properly and that should mean there are no issues like other GB’s have had (which is why we wanted Neal heading up the China side of things in the first place for this one).
I am waiting for a reply with more details now, I will let ya’ll know when I find out more.
The issue here is finding an mcpcb for it. It needs to be big, the stock one is around 45mm and it needs to have the LED in 12V config. I have been working on possible testing ideas for this but nothing good has been found yet.
Also this^ is true, I am in no hurry to remove this XHP70.2, I really like it. So I am kinda waiting until I get the V1 prototype back for more extreme testing like this. VOB wants to do a comparison video with the production version once he gets his, so until then he has it.
Knowing me though, I will get antsy and end up taking this one apart at some point anyways lol.
