Hi all,

i have one question since weeks now. Sorry if i missed it.
If we mod the light with an XHP70 why will the throw go down to nearly half of the way?
I would assume that this LED has the same or nearly the same light density as the smaller one?
Then the throw should be nearly the same but only with a bigger diameter??
Or is it an older type of LED with significant lower LM per mm2?

Higher lumen output LEDs will usually have lower lumens/mm^2 due to a big die which means lower intensity.
That’s just how it is.
You can’t get the best of both worlds.
