Ok so hopefully these images work because i'm new to this haha. So here gos. I got this M6 years ago on a deployment where it was well used. But since my discovery of the flashlight word it has been collecting dust. This morning I came across it and decided it was to nice a host to be neglected.
So i disassembled it to either powder coat or KG gunkote it. While I was taking it apart I remembered how terrible the switch was, and how much it needed a clicky.
I had an old trustfire host laying around that I had stolen the light engine out of so i took apart its switch.
I retrieved the clicky portion and tried it out. discovering it would not fit without some shaving.
Success! But how to get everything to work together?
I decided to give these pieces of the old switch a try. I used them in the same fashion as they were in the old switch. One as a ground and the other to insulate and center the spring.
Now for the moment of truth!
SUCCESS! When I figure out how to do youtube videos and stuff I'll make one of the assembly and operation! Meanwhile I will prep the host for color and decide ok PC or gunkote and color!
Then on to building or buying a drop in.
Cleaned and blasted. Ready to refinish!
Kg Industries Gunkote in Texas Tea it is!
Turned out ok. Got it on a little thick on the head and ill have to redo it. But all in all i don't think its to bad. Hopfully you all can see the pictures now.
Now just have to order dropin parts.
