I had a lot of flashlights arriving lately, but the only one I'm gonna show here for the moment (as my 2017's 1st choice), is CRX-1000p (CRX's 1000 post GAW):

The plan..

This will be a carbon fibre sheathed reflectored brass flashlight with a Cree XP-L HI V2 1A emitter on copper DTP sinkpad driven by a MTN 10mm FET with guppydrv Rev.1, powered by a 10440 cell with soldered copper heatsink and ARC glass. It will have a tail forward clicky switch unfortunately/ fortunately depending on your preference and a magnetic removable battery carrier and rubber switch boot.
I am not totally sure how this light will be when finished as decisions are made during the building.
