One of my faves is the TrustFire XP-E F23 and for under $15 is a pretty good deal.

Love my Tank 007 E09! My EDC on my keychain. Runs great even on an alkaline. 3 mode, no blinkies. I've got the Thrunite Ti and its very nice too.

If you want the king of AAA throwers its the Tank 703.

id say the thing i want the most is to havea usable low mode that has lots of battery life and id like to have the smalest aaa light out there
Tank 007 E09 then. Not quite the smallest but fits all your needs.

If it going on key ring or somewhere you can handle the diameter, get an AA for batt capacity. Unless you know firefly is OK for you, you prob want 3+ lumens or both for low.
Personally, I carry TN T10, but you might like the L3 L10 since you can have both lows.
I also have the tank 007 Eo9 and its a nice little light but I like my ITP A3 much better. I have been running cheap ultrafire 10440’s in it for over 6 months now with no problems. It is very bright on 10440 cells. I also run my tank on 10440’s and its pretty bright but not nearly as bright as my itp. You cant go wrong with either light imo.

Olight EOS is probably the smallest. It has three modes so you can select runtimes. It has a clip and can tail stand.
The Thrunite Ti has two modes either 3 lumin or firefly (I highly recommend the 3 lumen version). Can’t tail stand ( if you care, I don’t but some do) no clip. It is about half the price of the Olight and slightly larger but both are tiny. The main thing the Ti has going for it is the single direction modes. Twist a bit for low, keep twisting for max. You can get to max instantly unlike the ITP and Olight and almost all other lights.
I like the Ti more and more. If it came with a clip, it would be a much better light.
I own a lot of AAA’s, but in my pocket is still an Olight i3.
If you don’t like it my next choice is Tank007 E09.
thrunite Ti in colors for 10$ is unbeatable .. it actually does tailstand .. just not well....and tiny lights don't need a clip imho if you need a clip there are about 3 easy options ..hard to beat .. i like the s-1 , and have always liked the tanks But you won't get the runtimes ..like people said if you aren't going to keychain it .You might want to go with a very small AA like the L3

My fist post on here was asking the same question!
I’ve since bought a Fenix LD01 and a Thrunite Ti.
Thoughts? Well both are very well made and feel like quality kit. The knurling on the Ti is very tactile and the better of the two IMO. I also like the on off mechanism.
But, the LD01 is on my keys at the moment as the 3 modes is a bit more useful. The middle mode is bright enough whilst not hammering battery life.
I’ve never held a Tank. I have a handful of Thrunite Ti’s scattered around the house (firefly and 3lm). I also have Maratac Cu V1 and V2. But on my keychain for the past 2+ years has been the ITP A3 with a 10440.
