Posting as general interest really, I’ve never heard of or seen these before. They’ve appeared for sale on another forum and I wondered if anyone had info on them? The seller is the wife of a now unfortunately deceased EDC fanatic with impeccable taste, and she’s had to educate herself on high end knives, pry bars, lights etc. she’s done really well. The MJP (Arcmania) is a Mega Extreme stamped #001 with a driver number of MJ-07
The Extreme II prototype is marked #00 with triple emitter and a Carclo style optic.
Who were PLJ and MJP, making crazy lights like these?
Great looking lights! Those were associated with a CPF member who’s handle was, " ARC mania ".
Like many from that era, it ended in a sordid manner with customer money provided and product not delivered , IIRC.
I liked the Extreme Micro CR2 light.
So often the way with brilliant makers, great craftsmen but poor businessmen. I’ve seen it a lot in the custom knife world, they get noticed, inundated with orders, say yes to everyone, then can’t keep up. Shame, they’re unique looking things.
