Hi BLF…

I have just received a sanyo 18650 2600mAh battery and I want to know when was manufactured…

First… around the positive contact there is a PURPLE ring… I have read that older ones has LIGHT BLUE ring…

Now… I can read these codes writen on it…

I think your battery is the 4.35v version and the battery you’re referring to is the fm not zy. If the date code is the same your battery was made in the 48th week of 2013.

No… In the store page it says clearly 4,20v… is a standard sanyo 2600mah 4,20v…

The date code should still be the same, yours was made in 2013. I don’t have any UR18650ZY to compare. All my UR18650FM have the blue ring.

mine has purple/violet ring… not blue

The ring color could be because it’s a zy. The date code, which was your concern, says it’s a relatively new battery.

I wouldn’t be concerned with the color. My fm have blue my f have green and I’m assuming they have different colors for different types as a visual reference for boxed batteries.
