POB HID Spotlight Vs AmondoTech 3152 HID Searchlight

I told you guys I would compare them head to head. So let’s see what happens. Both of are 35watt HID spotlights. The POB has a 6000K bulb, and the AmondoTech has a 4300K bulb.

All these pictures were taken on manual exposure 2.8 sec f/3.5 and ISO 100. The low ISO setting should balance out the longer shutter speed from my findings. These are very close to what you will see in person.

First up the AmondoTech 3152 4300K bulb.

Don’t know the yardage. I’m guessing 200yds or so.

Now on this last set I am zoomed in a little more on the POB just so you know. Settings are still the same. But just pointing this out.

Now I wanted to also add that on a wall up close the 4300K bulb will smoke the 6000K bulb. But the camera in these pictures seems to tell a different story.

I hope you guys enjoyed them. No white barn photos on these beamshots. Just natural objects is what I was wanting here.

Nice shots Ilike. Has the AmondoTech got a lot larger hotspot. The tint from the POB looks more realistic or is this just the pictures?

Well the main hotpsot on the Amondotech seems to be just as tight as the POB. But the 4300K bulb I think is putting out more lumens than the 6000K bulb, thus spreading out the light more in these pictures. That may be why the POB seems to out throw it.

The Amono Tech looks like not as focused as the POB, these two light are identical in size, you should be able to use shim & adjust the lamp in/out to achieve better focus, smaller spot, more throw.
