powers gone down, apparently they won’t have it back up before half ten and possibly not before half four am.
Like a good flashaholic I have rounded up my good low mode lights, set them all to memory low or moon, dropped a cell in the wp2 ii for phone charging and am now “prepped”, mrs gords rolled her eyes but couldn’t really complain.
Only bummer is, it doesn’t go properly dark till midnight why could this not have happened in winter? lol
Funny you should mention that… I was up, reading BLF early this morning (like 04:00), and the power went out. I pulled out a couple of lights, but most were too bright :)… I finally got to a Tiablo A7, which I’ve been thinking about modding because it was not bright enough, and that worked well, in low mode.
Plus, the way it’s designed, the head and the reflector can be screwed off, and then it tailstands, and make a kind of nice temporary “lamp”. Putzed around for about another hour, and power was still off, so went to bed. Tiablo was still “going strong” in low mode, and not warm at all. Nice!
Good news, we got the bumf through today for the house buy, should be in the new gords cave next month.
foy, your welcome, review light will be taking a step closer to review spec at month end as I may have been commissioned to build another, I’ll keep you posted buddy.
chloe, its got a usb connector, you put a charged cell in slot one with the charger disconnected and set the current switch to off or 0 ( can’t remember how its marked right now) it will then use the charged cell to charge the mobile phone via usb.
Damm handy in a fix imo as my edc’s both use 18650 cells so I always have emergency power available.
Btw, I now have my asgard, if you fancy a play, I’d love to see you do a review on it some time, I like it, but I do see me finding a program that suits and then thats it, on the other hand I have a low mode program for use as a bedside light, then if the toddlers start playing, they dont hit themselves in the eyes with 3a of xm-l2 lol
Thanks, Gords! I may get one then. I had been thinking about a 18650 power pack and this would be a great charger to have around too in an emergency, although, I’m sure there was another XTAR with an info screen (trying to find the model now)…
It sounds great being able to program the Asgard like that. I would be concerned too having such powerful lights around children’s eyes.
