Hello buddies :GRADE: ,
I bought Lii500 charger without the adapter.
The charger on the back side reads 12v 2A Input, and I want to buy an adapter for it.
Is it ok if I buy a regular good quality AC to DC 12v power adapter?
Will it be better if I use 12v- 3A or 5A adapter instead of 2A?
Hello Thomashf,
Thank you for the reply and confirming about the 12V adapter. The cost difference is nothing much, just 2 or 3$ difference.
Thank you for the link. It will take a month for shipping thats why I was trying to catch locally.
More current, because I thought the Charger will be in full use of its capacity. I thought to get 3A because mostly the adapters found around in stores, that read 2A are not 100%. They give 1.7A, 1.5A or even lesser.
Thank you
See you.
Normally these adapters do deliver their rated amps, but some of them can get hot when charging 4 cells at 1A. By using a higher amp rated adapter does not increase performance but will likely extend it’s life by not running at full capacity. I use a 13.8V 20A power supply to run all my chargers.
I think these adapters are available everywhere, try looking for in your local eBay for quicker delivery.
Hallo Will34
Thank you very much for reply. 13.8V with 20A? Thats something new and interesting.
Which means the higher Amp charger will not heat up that much and live longer
Yes I am trying locally.
Hi,
It was a coincidence. I didnt notice the pin before. But now I was trying to find out the size of the input plug, and then you replied. Then I checked your link again
Thanks again.
