Pretty Good Buy On 8 Tenergy Pemium AA NIMH 2500MAH Batteries

I bought this last nite and the seller has these listed and may have more if you look. But for $13.99 shipped that’s a dang good price. These are supposed to be even better than the blue Tenergy batteries from what I have heard.

These batts are LSD???

Nice, just that I don’t have any AA light right now.

Nope, Tenergy Premium’s are not LSD, the Tenergy Centura’s are (but they’re just 2000mAh like the ’loops)

These will be used in my TK41.

Why is this a good deal ? you haven't even gotten them yet ..What if they aren't any good :P

I was trying to sort out why this is a good deal ? it's an auction and the price could be ....anything ..
I'm assuming you bought these at 14$ and no one else bid on them

I'm sticking with the eneloops or Pre-charged Duracell/duraloops ..notoriously they were only a buck a battery ..i don't know if it's the fall of the dollar or what.. but eneloops for a buck have always been the norm .Seems like those days are gone ..

I have a few non- LSD batteries and I really like the low self discharge batteries ..i hate an almost dead battery after a month or so when I haven't even used the light ..

Eneloop/ duraloops forever :P

I hope these workout for you ...Let us know what you think a few months down the road ,calling it a good deal before you get them sounds like you're just a little bit excited about your purchase ..hopefully you won't be screaming and cussing about how bad all battery is when they send you used AAA's and you lose your payapl dispute :P

Boaz,

I prefer the Duracell 2450mah nimh batteries over the Eneloops. The Eneloops are ok but the ones I have are only 2000mah. These Tenergy are 2500mah. And from what I have heard from a guy that uses the Tenergy premium D nimh in his TK70 is that they are awesome. That leads me to believe these will be as well. I know the blue Tenergy D 10,000mah batteries I have are super batteries from what I have seen so far.

Eneloops are the best nimh batteries ever made.

Powerex 2700's are also very, very good imo. I used them mostly in my speedlites and even though they are not lsd's -- they have held their charge at 100% for about 8 months before starting to drop.

I don’t own AA TENERGY so can’t say but I can confirm the premium TENERGY D is excellent.

Yeah I'd agree that tennergy in general are pretty good ...But so is a basic duracell AA rechargable and they are 2500mah as well.. You do suffer a smaller losss of capacity to maske up for the longevity of the cell and on some graph I'm sure they equal themselves out and maybe that happens at about a month and a half )just guessing ) either way the regular rechargables of any brand are always cheaper than LSD batteries .It simply depends on how someone plans to use them as to which one is better . I always say if it's for your cordless phone which always stays on the charger than the regular rechargables with a higher capacity would be better ..But honestly for most people Eneloops /duraloops<(an eneloop rebadged for duracell) or any good LSD is a better idea . Most people have wanted to use rechargable batteries and yet find when they actually grab one and try to use it They are already dead .That can be terribly frustrating .So a battery that holds 75% of it's charge for an entire year is an amazingly good idea .

I'd like to try the eneloop XX that has 2500MAH but they still are about 5$ a battery I've bought most of mine for about 1.25$. I'd rather have 32 batteries than 8.

like I said I like Tennergy batteries in general But the regular nimh batteries won't be any better than just the regular duracell nimh like this >

< Those are your basic nimh . They are almost always ( made in china .)They usually sell pretty darn cheaply too ....They are ok but again not the LSD batteries that most people are looking for .

On the other hand ..generally what people call a Duraloop is a rebadged precharged eneloop made for duracell by sanyo >> they must say Pre-charged ,they must say made in japan ..and they must have a white ring around the positive tip ..They look like this > http://www.ebay.com/itm/DURACELL-rechargeable-batteries-8AA-and-8AAA-TOTAL-16-/370621515505?pt=US_Rechargeable_Batteries&hash=item564ac386f1

The precharged are easier to spot because they usually come in a tougher packaging where the cheaper nimh 's come on just a card

There are also black top duracell precharged cells that are made in china they aren't as good as the sanyos with the white tops .. they are made I think by a division of rayovac in china and are considered hybrids ,or a durabrid.. not as good but not a terrible battery .

tennergy batteries are chinese batteries and they never will be as good as the Japanese made batteries

And just like duracell has both good and bad batteries they sell so does tennergy ..Because they don't make batteries ..They just buy them rebadged for them from various manufacturers ..So you have to know who makes the battery for them to know if it's a good one or not .

I bought a whole bunch of the Tenergy 2600mah AA NiMh batteries when I first got my TK41. These are the blue ones. I have lots of AA NiMh batteries and so far, these Tenergy 2600 batteries are the worst I have bought. Don’t hold a charge very long. Very inconsistent in how much each battery holds, and won’t hold anywhere near 2600mAh. I hope you have better luck with the Tenergy Premium ones you bought. The best ones I have tried are Powerex, Duracel, Energizer, eneloop and believe it or not, I got some that I really like from Harbor Freight called Thunderbolt. They say 2300mAh and always seem to hold very close to that number. I also have a bunch of older Harbor Freight batteries from Chicago Electric. The Lime green ones that say 2200 mAh that have been working very well for me. I think these are just the older version of the Thunderbolts that I bought lately.
