Princeton Tec Alloy X “Budget” for the Moment

I note that Brightguy has the Princeton Tec Alloy X for $34.57 right now. I can’t find much about this light, but if the claims are anywhere near accurate this could be a deal, before it goes back to $59.99 MSRP.

I use my shirt pocket light far more than the “big” light on my belt. I do wish more makers would offer the bite sleeve seen on Terralux Lightstar 80, Lightstar 90, and my present Infinistar. Still, if performance is as claimed, I’d be willing to put a few wraps of self-vulcanizing high voltage splicing tape on this Princeton Tec Alloy X and give it a try.

Is this light just too new for there to be many reviews or much discussion out there?

I think that's kind of expensive for a AAA form factor. Full disclosure... I don't have a use for these, nice as they are.

Wow. Haven’t thought about Brightguy or Princeton Tec in about 15 years…makes me feel old.
Now where did I put those Pila brand 18650’s??

No kidding. The last Princeton Tec lights I had were halogen, probably 20 years ago. But curiosity got the best of me and I went ahead an ordered one of these.
