Smooth - can focus better (tighter) resulting in more throw. Get that spot nice and hot.
OP - nicer, smoother beam, less risk of ring artifacts. Best used for flooders.

They also have Light orange peel.
Smooth reflector offers a longer range beam while a frosted or orange peal reflector hides imperfections and makes the beam flood a bit better. I’ve come to love my OP reflectored lights as they do a better job of making my lights floodier than just having a shallow reflector by itself. They can also allow a light to still be a thrower while giving it more usable flood.
It worked perfectly for bike lights
