An other option would be screws to fit the 16mm Noctigon. If there is enough space for the wires under the reflector, of course.
A combination of screws and recessed spots would be fine. But please do not glue the Noctigon to the heatsink.
A problem could be the exact fitting of the LED-Boards. I remember the BLF A6 with some bad fitting boards which were forced and warped to the heatsink
I'd prefer one big copper DTP MCPCB with the 4 XP sets of pads, big fat traces for parallel setup, and 1.6 mm thick (same as a Noctigon). Easy wiring, big advantage thermally. I know - I'm dream'n .
Tripod sounds really fine and ui with hidden strobe, but 1” full 3-4” moon and again 1 second…
About the name everything is fine, except the year (2016) i dont like ;-))
Well we are starting this up.
It will take tie to get to final specs and have the light produced.
When that happens the people will receive a discount code via PM and order.
After that the same lights are often kept on sale but at a higher price.
I am interested in this depending on the final configuration and price
EDIT:
some of my preferations:
If it has a tripod nut i’m in, probably for 2 pcs.
If you are going to charge 4x 18650 through a BD0x style charger it’ll take very long, I don’t think this is usefull.
I’d prefer a black bezel
a led ring around the switch which shows the voltage would be very nice.
Well, yeah! This is an idea generating and general interest thread. That’s what it’s supposed to look like, until the manufacturer gets on board and solid decisions are being made. Go back and read the OP and first several pages of comments of the other BLF Special group buy threads of recent past. In fact, look at the BLF Watch group buy interest thread that is going on now. It looks very much the same.
