Just bought this a couple weeks ago at Walmart and the instructions are long gone. I use this headlamp for work and I can’t figure out if you can set the memory. There are 4 modes, low light blue, high white, high blue, and strobe. Everytime I put this on my head and turn it on It always goes to the next selection in line from what I last used and then I have to manually cycle through all the selections to get back to what I want. It’s extremely annoying. Is there a way to set the memory on this so it always turns back on to the last thing you used? I have googled this and found zero info on this light.
Swiss Tech has a website listing manuals for their many products but this one is not listed there. You may be able to contact the company and ask for a manual to be added to their website. Swiss+Tech Products - Instructions Yours is not the only complaint from users about having to go through all of the settings. I was curious why they had a blue light in a headlamp but their site says it is so you can see bloodstains. Hmm. Not something I would find useful but then again I’m not a hunter. The 500 lumen output suggests that this light probably uses a Q5 LED. No information that I could find about battery capacity at any of the sellers or at the website.
I prefer headlamps that have removable batteries (Li-ion) so that I can use Panasonic batteries and replace the battery after it begins to get weak. That’s one thing that was mentioned by at least one owner. It seems to have a proprietary battery in the light that is not replaceable.
I have a similar Q5 light that uses two throw-away alkaline batteries. It’s nice. I’ve used it for camping for the past 3 years when I don’t want to use a more powerful Borit headlamp that uses two 18650 batteries. I bought the smaller one from China for around $5. You can find the Swiss Tech headlamp on eBay for $25 with free shipping from a US seller.
Yeah I have another headlamp at home that takes three AAA’s. I got tired of messing around with regular alkaline flashlights because every time you need them most the dang things were dead. With my rechargeables I just put them on the charger when I’m driving down the road and they’re always charged on the job site.
