Question for best sofirn sc31pro relapcement

Hello everybody, id like to know what the best replacement for my sofirn sc31pro, i hate the button placement and would like a tailswitch. I would like it to be same brightness have the anduril ui and have a tail switch. Any help is much appreciated.

Might want to look at the Sofirn sp31 v2.0. Still has a side button for setting the levels, but has a tailswitch for on off and a forward press for temporary on. I have both and use the sp more than the sc.

You see i liked that light until i realised it doesnt have thd anduril ui, also the tailswitch only turns it on and off from memory mode everything else is controlled by the railswitch.

To get a small tail switch Anduril light I think the FW3A comes close. Keep in mind the electronic tail switch is a little less reliable than the side switch version you already have.

A better choice but a little larger is the Emisar K4.

Anduril needs an e-switch, and to move that functionality to the tail required a different approach. Currently I think only the Noctigon KRx and Lumintop FWxx fill the bill. From the sound of things over the last two years the Lumintop should be a hard pass, unfortunately (although I love my FW3A from the first couple batches)…the FW3A is a triple. The KR4 is worlds better quality, although it’s a bit fatter, a bit shorter, and has quad emitters plus aux emitters (fun and colorful but not terribly useful). Either will put out a lot more light but they’re also a bit more floody out of the box than the SC31Pro. Either light can take a different optic to tighten up their beams, though, easy to swap and just a couple bucks (actually would need to confirm that current Lumintops can still take the standard Carclo optics as a drop in or with slight mods…). The FW1A is maybe the closest contender since it’s single emitter/reflector like the Sofirn, but I don’t know that the output is any higher really. The Noctigon KR1 is again similar, but with a much wider head. It’s meant to be a tiny thrower but you could opt for a larger emitter in there like the SST40 and that would blow the Sofirn out of the water and all these others as far as throw, and that larger emitter would widen the beam some to make it more useful as an all-rounder.

To get brighter, you can try to push an emitter harder with more current…but the Sofirn is already being fed a decent amount. Or you can use a different combo of emitter type/reflector type/size. Or you can use more emitters. The SC31Pro is really decent already as an 18650 tube host, so if it’s not enough then maybe a different light will make you happier. Tail switch + Anduril UI is the great limiting combo, though.
