Quick outdoor whitewall beamshots (24 lights)

Here's another port...

Distance to the white wall is 21.3 ft (6.5m) and to the steps (at the forefront of the bottom of the pic is 12ft). I tried to aim the hotspot at the top of the wood plank but as you can see it wasn't always perfectly aimed in the same spot. This goes to show how tricky taking these shots can be since it isn't until the shutter speed is stepped down that you can clearly see the hotspot. This was especially true with lights using TIR's. I'll account for the aim and WB in my next set of outdoor shots.

All shots on Canon S3 IS, ISO 80 @ f2.7 using Daylight WB so for certain lights the tint may be a bit off. Again the goal here was not tint accuracy but rather brightness/beam profile.

For the 3 shots of each light the shutter speeds were: left = 1/4" | center = 1/20" | right = 1/80" (click on pics to load full size).

Any questions just ask.

Cheers,
Tim
