I have ordered this item from BIC.
This is an AA battery warm white led flashlight. On my previous order they have sent me correct item with Ultrafire brand. This time they have sent me 18650 version instead. (in fact this version has higher price)
Their order processing system somewhat faulty.
Because I am going to gift it, it should be AA for availability.

I have sent a message to CS, they have proposed 3 coins refund.
I have not accepted, we will see what happens.

Edit: They have refunded via Paypal $10 of $13.50, with opening a dispute on Paypal.

I have ordered 3 pack of GP recyko AAA batteries from them,
because price was very good at $3.3 for 4-pack.
The day after, they have sent other items in my order, omitting and refunding for the batteries.

They are not loyal to their pricing.
Even without asking first, they just do refund.

Was not impressed with my last order, Their FirePeak batteries are trash … double aa to d holders, very cheaply made, free gift, broken in transit … 0 stars

They got 2 out of my first 4 orders wrong, and one of the 4 arrived with all the items destroyed because they weren’t packed correctly. So that’s 3 of 4 of my very first orders where I had problems. It took threatening PP disputes before they ended up making all of it right with refunds, but I will still never use them again.

I sent their CS message regarding GP Recyko AAA batteries telling them that they look like fakes and that some of them failed, still no answer, its no surprise because Paypal protection window has closed but I gave them a chance to fix this given how positive my previous epxerience with them has been :D!

Wow, warm white, AA light, Cree LED for cheap?!

Anyone else got this light?

late comment re the last question above, I think “jade inspection” lamp color is a very warm color.

(just checking reports on BIC thinking about ordering something from them for the first time)

Hmph. Well, I tried to buy their Z2-clone, four times over two days, both PayPal and straight Visa, and never got an order to complete; once I got as far as placing but not apparently paying, but following the link to complete the payment still didn’t make it happen. Maybe it’s just me.

Edit, after another try, I got one Z2 clone bought and on its way (that’s the “Moon M6” flashlight by the way)
One earlier try hung without the last step confirming payment, and showed up eventually as not paid for; their email says I can just ignore that and it should be cancelled.

I received over $800 worth of damaged and defective items from them and they only offered $40 compensation and basically told me its my fault for ordering from them “its a risk you took with international trading”.

Every item was either broken or defective (or both) and in the end I have to send them all back after a PayPal dispute/claim which was just under $200 shipping.

Then I got a mail from PayPal saying I will only get refined when BIC have confirmed they have received it, I doubt they are going to.

In short they knowingly sent defective items and then refused to refund or replace them.

Now I’m short $800 plus about $200 more to return the packages.

They are borderline scammers in my opinion.

Oh man that is horribly lame.
I have place 2 orders from them in the past, both over 100 bucks, both about a year ago, and everything went very smooth.
I just placed a small order from them yesterday, less than 30 bucks and I noticed there was a lot of dead links on the website, the whole transaction didn’t go smoothly at all and I was a bit hesitant.
Like with Manafont hitting the toilet, and even Fast Tech going down hill now, it’s a shame. Had a bad experience with CNQG just recently, still waiting to see if they make it right.
Good old DX is still somewhat reliable, huh? All I want to do is give my good old American money for a product that at least works, I don’t expect surefire reliability for ultrafire prices, but the literally hundreds and hundreds of Chinese flashlights I have bough, MOST have worked pretty well with only minor issues.

Now, if I even GET the product, im thankful and with the blatant counterfeiting, who knows what you actually get.
I am quite suspect of the sudden drop in prices of the XM-L and XM-L2 emitters (maybe its only sudden to me?) when I am used to paying probably double todays going rate.

Every order I placed with BIC had damaged, defective or missing items. They did end up giving me full refunds though after I threatened to open PP disputes for all my orders. There seemed to be a bigger communication gap than I normally get dealing with these type of sellers, but they sure understood “paypal dispute”.

I still use DX occasionally and have found them to be passable as long as you don’t confuse them with large or complicated orders.

FastTech for me is pretty much back to its former glory. The last half dozen orders have all arrived within two weeks, with the last one arriving in 8 days!

No problems with BIC, all seven orders (total 120:money_mouth_face: were delivered in record time and in good shape.

For example: Hrvatska pošta - Naslovnica

Only ordered one ENB charger and 5 of those SHILL powerbanks with defecive chips. All came intact.

So weird with the bad experiences. I only have good things to say about BIC.

I believe I buy from them at least once a month. I have had so many transactions with BIC and almost all of them went smoothly. They have a lot of cheap electronics, drivers, power supplies etc.

They always deliver the quickest of all non-ebay/Ali sellers. Their ordering system move between the stages even during nighttime in China (we’re on the same timezone), and according to them they have 24hour system to cater to the volume.

All of their packings were crazy thick with protective materials and there are evidence of double checking of the items. Thus I believe they do have some degree of QC. And the ones that had defect/problem etc were easily solved with a few exchange of messages.

So, that’s my experience with BIC (currently). I don’t know how we have such different experiences.

I had few small orders from them. Most of them went good. Once they’ve canceled the order and raised the price of that product. Last order was the cheap power bank, which shorted and burned on a first use. It took few messages through their site, but in the end I got full refund without going through PayPal dispute.

FYI, I ordered two of these from BIC and got obvious fakes. I don’t own the genuine ENB version, so can only compare to HKJ’s review. Here is a copy of my product review that probably won’t get posted on the site…

Buyer Beware! I received fakes!

Pros:

From HKJ’s review, the original should perform quite well. That’s why I decided to order two of these, so I could give them as (safe and reliable) gifts. Unfortunately, I received two fakes. Take a look at the most recent customer pictures posted. That’s what I got. Unfortunately, I had already placed my order before those pictures were posted.

Fake vs ENB

+ 2 inputs vs 1 input
= indicator lights on opposite side from cells vs indicator lights on same side as cells
= It has independent channels like the ENB.
= Build quality seems decent

Cons:

I received fake, generic power banks with no logo on the case. Physically and functionally they are different from the ENB.

Fake vs ENB

- charges at 0.65A vs 1.0A

  • very stiff clip springs over coil springs vs normal springs

I charged some Panasonic cells, then checked their voltages after the lights indicated that charging was complete. One cell was at 4.19v while the other was still only at 3.98v. I had to replug it in to resume charging.

  • Not good because you can never be quite sure that you’re fully charged and ready to go.

On 1A discharge, the batteries don’t discharge together. Instead it draws separately like the original ENB does at 0.5A. I checked the cells after a partial discharge at 1A to find one cell about 3.2V while the other was still around 3.9V.

  • Not ideal because one cell is subjected to unnecessary higher draw (=heat) plus the one discharged cell might stay in this low charge state for a prolonged time if you don’t regularly recharge after every use.

Disclaimer: I don’t actually own this version of the original ENB power bank. I’m just basing my info off of HKJ’s review. I do own the 3 cell ENB though.

Summary: The fakes are clearly inferior to the original ENB. Buy at your own risk. These were supposed to be for average users (my sisters), but now I don’t feel confident giving them away.

If you are okay with these shortcomings or can be bothered to constantly check the status of your cells by ripping them out of the stiff springs every time, then go ahead and buy this. Otherwise look elsewhere for the real deal. I’m so disappointed. :frowning:

I hope this saves someone the frustration of trying to save a few bucks and ending up with fake crap. I should have learned by now…

> I got one … “Moon M6” flashlight

What they sent looks like the picture, but
— doesn’t light up at all as advertised with AA cells, only lights up with li-ion
— doesn’t have the 3 modes, which I wanted; instead has five modes, lots of extra switch-clicking (no memory)

I’ve emailed them twice, a month ago and yesterday, no reply so far.

Bought this ENB too, totally fake. Too bad not read this thread before.
The picture used to be same ENB picture as in other seller’s site. (If only FT still have this in stock, I’ll order again from them).
After I made my complain and send pictures as prove, they change the pictures of product in their site.
What I receive: no logo, have 2 input and 1 slot (slot A) not working.
It also stop discharge very early (3.3V).

Imo, changing pictures is unacceptable, never experience this kind of sneaky, devious action from other sellers before.

Yeah, they never answered my repeated emails.
I guess they only need to burn each new customer once to have a working business model.

I got burned as well with the same fake ENB box from BIC.

I bought it from an Ebay seller “hohfashion” - It was only when it turned up, I realized it was from BIC.
