A couple years ago I gifted my friend a Coleman 5355 with custom warm white tubes, to use on his back porch. The tubes died pretty quickly and he left it outside so that it got some rust, so I stole it back and would like to give him something better.
I am looking at the BLF LT1, but I would prefer something with a physical on/off toggle switch and a larger handle which you could fit your arm through. The high CRI, warm tone, and replaceable batteries are also important, so I wouldn’t be surprised if there is no better alternative.
It would also be great if the lantern could withstand being left out in the elements for extended periods, but I think I can reasonably expect him to take it in if it’s expensive and smaller than the Coleman.
Any suggestions?
