Recommend me a light for my nurse girlfriend

She just graduated nursing school and her NCLEX and will need a quality pen light for checking eye dialation and wounds. Something with a simple ui like low and hi is preferable. Probably going to use AA batteries most often. Pretty colors are a bonus. And go!

I like my Wuben E19 I believe it is marketed for medical use but also offers up to 200 lumens in case situation warrants the brightness.

The Acebeam Pokomon is pretty nice.

Takes 2 AAs in a pinch, but comes with a single double-length Li cell with built-in charger.

Momentary-on switch, always starts in low, so won’t blind someone if you eyeball-test him. High is quite bright.

I got the one in that nice green color, but I only recall gray as the other color option, but might be others.

Oh, they also have a single-AA version, but I like the 2-fer.

Nice pink Lumintop IYP365 two AAA’s and Nichia high CRI emitter. Amazon link

2 Thanks

The Lumintop is the one I purchased for my nurse wife. She really likes it.

Something neutral white with high CRI. Low output. The Acebeam Pokelite 2AA is superb (not the 1000 lumen one). Olight has some great ones like the i3r and i5t. so does Lumintop. Depends on how much you want to spend. Check out here for our reviews:

AA Lights

The Convoy T3 519a would be a nice choice. It can take either a 14500 or an AA, which might be great for someone who isn’t a flashlight enthusiast.

I think this might be the one!

I use Lumintop IYP365 with diffusion film on lens.
Medical light has to:

  1. have a <2lm mode (1lm is optimal)
  2. have high CRI LED

+1 on the Wuben E19. By far the best high CRI pen light.
This is my review of it:
