Quite often on Youtube after watching something , usually a link form here, You tube (cleverly?) knows your interests after watching and drops things it thinks you might like in front of you.
Usually in my case ‘mechanical’ videos.
Sometimes and usually randomly you come across really good videos, learn stuff, watch amazing craftsmen etc and good to watch, even calming!
Thought it might be an idea to start a thread on here with some good ones - feel free to add your own.
I’ll start off with this which I just came across - genius in the world of fridge compressors!
My favorite guy on YouTube to sit and listen as he tears stuff apart / fixes and restores stuff . What I probably like best about him is he doesn’t spend excessive time or effort on unnecessary things .If it’s an 11$ item he treats it like one .
Drones and photography is also a hobby of mine, and I watched this video a few days ago and was blown away.
Watch on a 4K (or 8K if you have more dollars than sense) TV if you can, it’s an amazing video
For folks who love Roadkill style car culture the following guys are pretty great.
Thunderhead289 - more technical or educational than the rest of this group. Has a voice that reminds me of Hank Hill. Rescues cars and trucks (mostly Fords) but not as much content as the next two.
ViceGripGarage - Hands down funny. Tons of dead cars brought to life and driven “home”.
JunkyardDigs - A decent mix of humor and knowledge. Also a bunch of dead cars resurrected.
These guys are all in the same general area and help out on each other’s content.
There are a couple of other guys with channels in that group but these are my favorites.
Now this is nifty. Those little buggers have been eating into my irrigation system for years to get water when it’s too dry.
They are not native. Never had a problem for many years then they seemed to just appear overnight.
Speculation is a breading pair or some pregnant moms came in with a load of Xmass trees.
Anyhow Enjoy.
Yeh, I got one of those square “cages” that hold suet blocks, and I stick a coupla slices of bread in there for the birds.
How many times have I seen a big fat squirrel hanging off it like The Bat Man, regaling himself while the birds are staring hungrily.
When one wouldn’t be able to get the bread fast enough, what he’d do is swing on it and knock it to the ground, it’d bust open, then it’s breadapalooza.
