Replacing Revtronic MT20

Hello all, I'm a super casual flashlight user looking to replace a Revtronic MT20 that finally stopped working after one too many drops. As far as I'm concerned, it was the best everyday flashlight I've ever owned and I'm dismayed to find it's not for sale anywhere reputable (I did find it listed on 192led.com, but a thread here indicates that's just a scam, so I'm staying away). Anyway, I'm looking to replace it with something similar, and was hoping you fine folks would be able to suggest some good options.

Here's what I liked about it, which I'd like to find in a similar product:

  • Size - It's compact enough for a glove box or pocket
  • Brightness - listed at 960 lumens, it puts out plenty of light for night walks in dark areas
  • Side mode button - This is the tough one, as most of the comparable lights I've seen mentioned (Convoy C8, EE x6, etc) don't have this feature
  • 18650 Battery - I have a bunch of these around the house ready to charge before hurricane season
  • Price - I want something I won't regret (too much) breaking or lending to my clumsy nephews

I'm also a bit of a tinkerer, and while I haven't ever modded my own light, I'm not opposed to trying. I'd actually like to start by fixing the Revtronic, if anyone has any suggestions on that front. I can't tell you much about what's wrong other than that I dropped it for the umpteenth time and it stopped working immediately after that. No apparent physical damage other than a couple scratches on the housing and a small chip on the inside of the glass.

Thanks in advance for any responses, and for all the awesome info I've already gleaned from the forum.

Just get the Wurkkos FC11

- cheap

- side button

- usb c charging

- ramping and stepped

- samsung LH351D 90 CRI

- magnetic tail cap.

  • tested at 1200 genuine lumens

I like it, and it’s definitely a possibility. Though what I like about the side button of the Revtronic is that it’s a dedicated mode button w/memory, so I can turn the light on and off without cycling through the brightness. If I need to change, it’s really quick to click through the options.

Does the Wurkkos keep the last output setting?

Yes, it has memory

I’ll second that recommendation. The FC11 is a great light.
