I am currently looking for a Panasonic 2250 mAH IMR-CGR18650CH battery. Int’l Outdoor sells a pair for $15.45 but I really just need 1. I was able to locate an online store that sells 1 piece Panasonic 2250 mAH IMR-CGR18650CH at a retail price of $5.12 and wholesale price of $4.03. I’m a bit wary to order from them because I’’ve never heard of them and because of their unusually low price. Here is the link to the site: http://www.powerwholesale.net/panasonic-cgr18650ch-2250mah-imr-37v-battery-in-gray1pc-p-2071.html
Has anybody dealt with this store before? I’m seriously ill and can’t afford to throw money away on scammers and fake items, so I would appreciate your help with this. I would appreciate it if you could also point me to a reputable vendor.
The reason the price is so low is because that does not include shipping. Including shipping it would be closer 15-20 dollars. The savings are when you order large amounts of batteries. However if you do want to do that I would recommend bestvaping as they have a rep on our forum. Here the link is.
I ordered these batteries through BestVaping and they have the unprotected and protected versions. I ordered 2 of each to try it out. What confuses me is if they claim to be IMR’s, why do they come out with protected versions. Any insight will be well appreciated.
They are kind-of like IMRs. They will get very hot when shorted but wont burn.. and dont deliver as much current as true IMRs, but come at a higher capacity.
Protected versions exist because Panasonic doesnt recommend using them without PCB. They dont have a PTC (built in protection against heat and overcurrent IIRC) and you wouldnt want something at over 100°C in your backpack. So if you dont have a reliable driver in your flashlight.. protected might be better, if you even need "IMR" cells.
Thanks for the clarification NightCrawl. Good thing I ordered the versions with PCB. I wanted to see how they perform compared to the AW IMR and Efest IMR. Cheers! Appreciate the clarification you provided.
Not all of CGR18650 belong in the IMR Chemistry. Only CGR18650CH 2250mah is in the IMR Chemistry. IMR batteries is Li-Mn batteries. All of the others are li-ion batteries.
Hope it clear for you.
Hello, thanks kindly for all of you order from efest. Thank you for support efest company!
Efest IMR batteries made of a very special material with protected function, so don’t need with PCB for efest batteries. The IMR materies limited the battey capacity and come with high discharge current.
