[Review] Armytek Crystal || White/Red Emitter, Rechargeable || A nice Headlamp / Keychain/ EDC lightweight flashlight!

The flashlight was sent to me by Armytek for review.
Here’s the product’s link (non-affiliate): Armytek Crystal
And a coupon code for 15% off: BILAKOS15

The flashlight comes in a nice cardboard box.

The following accessories are included in the box:

  • Headband
  • 2 x o-rings and a pad for mounting it on the bike
  • User manual

The Armytek Crystal is an multi-purpose light.
It can act as a headlamp as well as a regular EDC or even a keychain light.

In order to allow it to be used as a headlamp, the manufacturer also includes a nice elastic headband.

The headband contains double loops, which allow the user to easily adjust its length.

The back side of the light contains a metal clip, which allows it to get attached on the elastic band.

The light is operated via an e-switch that mounted on its center.

The Armytek Crystal comes with two embedded emitters.
The manufacturer doesn’t specify their exact model.

Here’s the white one.

And the red.

The side of the light contains the charging interface, which is sealed from dust and moisture by a rubber flap.

A regular micro-USB charging port is being used.
Once plugged in, the indicator LED will shine to indicate the battery’s charge state.

Opposite to the charging interface we find the holes for mounting the Armytek Crystal on a keychain.

On the other two sides of the Armytek Crystal, we find the slots which allows the installation of the big o-ring in order to mount it on a bike’s handlebar.

User Interface

Here’s all the supported actions from the light’s firmwares:

Turn on/off: Single press
Switch between White / Red emitter: Double press
Mode cycle: Long press (Firefly > Main 1 > Main 2 > Main 3 > Beacon > Firefly > …)
Lock/Unlock: Long press (4s) while off.

Output

Here’s my output measurements for the Armytek Crystal

As we can see, the light ouputs up to 138 lumen at turn on.
Mode spacing is also pretty good.
I couldn’t get any output from the high power Red emitter, cause my equipment can’t accurately measure its wavelength.

Overall the Armytek is very nice EDC / headlamp light.
It’s very lightweight and I do like very much its see-through design!
