Just got light.Impressed that it only took 14 days from ordering to door.

Need HELP! Programming instructions are not in sync with light.I quickly press 20X after light is on.It blinks 5x then pause and continues that over and over.Directions say One blink for corresponding mode.ex.mode 1 is 1 blink.I want mode 6.So i just thought wait until the 5 flashes and tap during the sixth time(mode 6) and I would get mode 6.It just goes to beginning of mode group that it is stuck in.That is group one with 5 levels and 3 blinkies that i do not want.

Any help is appreciated.

EDIT. THANK YOU RUSTY JOE.It needs 30 plus quick presses for config.mode, Not 20 like Alliexpress states!It is now programmed :+1: :sunglasses:

I should review my Osram CULPM1 loaded C8+ in a NEW post (with pics!). AND I WILL… but for now I HAVE to tell the story of tonight with this phenomenal “change agent” C8+.

I was at my buddy’s hunting lodge here in Kansas tonight. I mounted the C8+ on a rifle with a better 16x scope ($500 range- DECENT scope). THIS IS USING A FET MODIFIED PRESSURE SWITCH = ZERO CURRENT LOSSES.

We went out to the side of his lake with the dam right at 1000 yards away. I dialed in the scope at full zoom… hit the FET pressure switch— OMG… we could see a friggin’ possum down by the water with this C8+ in pitch black night at 1000 yards! IF we had a gun that could shoot that far… we could have shot a coyote (with no wind, off a bench, with a custom loaded round… if we were lucky! BUT we COULD SEE IT!!!). It IS that good! :stuck_out_tongue:

Wow, wow, wow! Nobody out of six VERY experience hunters could believe it! I got three orders for these on the spot tonight.

You can get a lii 100 charger and I am using LG M50T, but you can also get a Lii 50E

Convoy’s 8A driver is actually on a timer, it has no thermal regulation. At 1 minute it triggers the gradual stepdown over the next 8.5 min, resetting to 100% repeats the process

Installed into the Convoy Z1 and it hit 79°C on its 3rd reset to High and it just carries on the same lol. I’m almost finished my review on the 8A CULPM1 version of the Z1 so I’ll definitely be mentioning it

Anyone have advice for L21a with CULPM1 vs L21a with SFT40? I understand the Osram will throw further, but it will also get much hotter, right? And won’t the SFT40 throw nearly as well as the Osram? Also, does anyone know if Simon has plans to put the KW CSLNM1.TG in the L21a? Thank you for your help! You all have helped me with my selections. My wife says I have a problem with my flashlight obsession. Yes, yes, I do. :slight_smile:

SFT40 is brighter, and have more spill. You can try it, I think it will be a good compromise between “I want a good thrower” and “I want to use my flashlight for something else than shining in the distance”

I definitely want more throw for this light, but if it’s too subtle of a difference, I think SFT40 is best. Thanks for the advice and I’ll check out that link.

I have both of them in exact config.

My measurements as below :

L21A CULPM1 : ~430kcd
L21B SFT-40 : ~410kcd

Meaning both are quite close for throw.

Other factors for consideration :

L21A is build like a tank, heavy and solid, much more mass, hence heat up slower than the light-weight L21B. In this case of config and owning these 2 lights, I will say L21B heat up faster than the L21A.

SFT-40 thou has more lumens than CULPM1, due to different die size, SFT-40 being bigger, has a slightly larger hotspot. At near distance, they look about same brightness to my naked eyes. At far distance, the CULPM1 looks a tad brighter but not by much.

First of all thank you so much for your review, it made me decide between the L21B and L21A.

However, and I deeply apologize for bumping the message up, I’m having troubles finding a place that would take paypal as payment. Aliexpress, for some particular reason, has decided to block paypal if you select shipping to argentina. It’s weird as it is, if I put an address in the states or europe, it let’s me pay with paypal no problem.

I have tried to contact both convoy lightning store and MH lightning store on aliexpress and begged them to let me do the following: Put an american address, compensate for the shipping, but ship to Argentina instead. They told me “use another payment method” which is out of my reach, I don’t want to reach out to my family when I have the balance on paypal just as available.

Now here’s where I ask, is there any way to contact Simon from Convoy Store outside aliexpress? I have no issues sending the money first, I trust the store and the good reviews and positive comments about Simon.
