Yeah, that’s always been the case with Convoy. Solid simple lights, often way way behind the curve except sometimes quick picking up new emitters, but generally just solid and simple, but no “wow!!!” factor.
I remember back in the day people were getting frustrated with Simon for not doing X or Y or Z, because other mfrs were doing so (eg, onboard charging, higher-CRI emitters, etc.), and while he did get with newer emitters, a lot of other mfrs were going whole hog with the new stuff.
While I’m still pretty much hip-deep in S2+es, complete and hosts, I haven’t really gotten into hardly any of the newer lights like the L21Bs or S11s or such.
