Did you get a chance to measure the total wire resistance of the switch?
To measure the resistance, click the reverse clicky to on, set a multimeter to Resistance mode (denoted with an Ω) and touch one of the probes to the tailcap spring and the other to the blank metal ring inside the tailcap.
What are the ergonomics of the switch like? Could it be operated easily with gloves?

DMM readings were all over the place, going from > 1ohm to some negative net readings when canceling lead resistance.
LCR meter to the rescue:
I was surprised by those readings, do ~80mohm make sense?
Good to recall they were taken at 0.6V

basically apply a current with power supply and measure voltage with a DMM
