In the hand, the PD35 v3.0 is particularly comfortable, the switches are easily operated and accessible. The side switch, called the “functional switch” is in an optimal position to be operated easily with the thumb. The tactical switch is useful for tactical applications and allows with a partial pressure to activate the Momentary On, and with a total pressure to access the constant light mode.

I know it’s an old post, but this flashlight is still in production, actually I recently bought one and it seems that I’m having issues with the side MENU switch. I’m pressing it, I can feel and hear it clicking, but nothing happens. I see you’re writing here in the review that it should be easy to operate with thumb, but not for me. To make it work I need to press it quite harder, so hearing the click on the side switch on my PD35 V3.0 doesn’t mean I get an electrical contact confirmation.

I wrote about my issue to Fenix, but they redirected me to the seller (as per the S/N), but I didn’t got a straight answer, so I was wondering if on your PD35 V3.0 you’re getting the electrical contact immediately after you’re hearing the MENU side switch clicking or do you need to press is harder to make it change the gear?

I’m still in the return window, but I don’t want to return it and get another one after until I’ll figure out if this behaviour is by design and I got a lemon product.
