[Review] LOOP GEAR SK-05 II PRO - does the new high CRI sidelight now make this the best flashlight on the market?
Great review - one thing I haven’t seen anyone comment on is how’s the MAO feel? It looks somewhat glossier and closer to a Wuben white coating than it does the rougher MAO surface in other lights.
I have a MAO first gen but going to get the black gen 2. I’m surprised that they didn’t keep the grey/black color way for the gen 2. The all black was what they used for the cheaper SK05 gen1.

Interesting- I always thought they resembled a brick but I just may have to try one out for fun…
It definitely has a very cyberpunk, tacticool look, like it’s out of Transformers or some sort of 90s/2000s anime or computer game. All these 45° angles and sharp lines…
A little bit of weathering and a paint job, and this could be some sort of cosplay prop.
Definitely feels less stone-like than the first SK-05 MAO

I’m still amazed that such a complete and high quality flashlight does not have a moonlight mode. It’s the main reason I still don’t have one.
