My review of the LUMINTOP D3S - 6000 lumens compact thrower flashlight - SFN60 LED - Anduril II - Type-C input/output - crazy powerful magnetic tail cap!
Nice. Also, your videos are always fun ![]()
…of course, once again, Lumintop release a light without flashing pads
- do you know which anduril version it shipped with?
Im glad someone enjoys them! I’ve had death threats, been warned/insulted/questioned by people and the police, been chased by dogs and people!
I’ll check soon, I’ve currently lent it out. I know it doesn’t have the option to use the superior Anduril 1 Turbo style. And there’s no ramp speed option.
I am assuming this will be a smaller version of the wonderful D3.
I agree with the others, all of your reviews are great!
One question on this light though, on my other Lumintop lights, when the battery
is connected, the little bunny in the power switch is fully lit up green.
On my D3S, when I first tighten the tail cap to connect the battery,
the ears light up green but, the lower part of the bunny lights up
blue for about a second then goes out. From then on, only the ears stay
lit up with the green color. Does this reflect something like a battery charge
indicator?
Thanks and thanks again for your reviews.
I liked this light so much I bought two.
This is an interesting light, perhaps could work as an upgrade to my Wurkkos FC13 (reflector thrower with Anduril and powerbank function, but with 21700/26800 batteries instead of 18650s).
Does anyone know what MCU it uses, and whether it has accessible flashing pads? TIA!
So i have had this light for about a year. Pretty sure its the v2 version since it has the magnetic tail cap. My question is isnt the d3 supposed to be anduril 2. I have other lights that are anduril so i know how it works. Mine does not work. I tried resetting the light but unscrewing tail cap holding button. Tried the 13h for reset and tried switching to advanced mode but 10h. Nothing works. Mine seems to just be a normal flashlight with moonlight when holding down the button from off, a low, medium and high mode to switch through. And a double click to turbo. Also no smooth ramping.
First of all, thank you for letting us know.
Sure it is. That info was prominent in the product page and pretty much everywhere.

This definitely doesn’t sound like Anduril. My guess would be, Lumintop ran out of Anduril driver boards and started using something cheaper in its place, with a UI similar to Anduril, instead of the genuine stuff. And failed to inform people about it.
If it had accessible flashing pads, it would be easy to verify (and perhaps even fix if it came with a minimally compatible MCU). But it doesn’t.
If it was still in the return window, I’d just return it. But the way it is (and I’m sorry to be the one to tell you) if Anduril is important to you, it looks like you’re pretty much SoL.
I would try contacting Lumintop anyway and see what they say (and if you do, please post the result here).
Well i talked to alot of other people who have the same exact problem with their d3. So it seems to be that lumintop just took andruil out of this lite in the later production and never told anyone. The light still works as a light and is now my glovebox light. Really turned me off to lumintop though. Also sorry for the delayed response.
no problem for the delay, and thanks for coming back to let us know! Sorry to hear about the light – and with this Lumintop is definitely out of my manufacturer list, such a major change is not something you do without letting the customer know.
Lumintop? The worst of the worst, avoid them like the plague, measles, or leprosy. Shameless people who sell scams whenever they feel like it. Absolutely not recommended!!!
