"REVIEW": Lumintop GT Nano V3 and GT Nano Pro V3 - Updated versions from...the previous versions :)

Hi there BLF

Recently I bought these 2 flashlights!
You may wonder “why both versions?” and I may reply “why not?”! :face_with_monocle:

The thing is, I guess these are better versions (in some ways) if compared with the previous ones!
First, I bought the Nano V3 in the hope of using its driver to upgrade the old LT Frog, but…turns out the new “Frog 985” recently came out, so I didn’t need to butcher the Nano V3. :sunglasses:

As for the Nano Pro V3, I got curious about the difference between both and wanted to try that little triple flashlight! :innocent:

Bellow you can find the links from where I got them (non-affiliate):

GT Nano V3 (incl. battery kit): Lumintop GT NANO V3.0 10750 Taschenlampe mit 1 Stück 10750 Röhre und Batterie, Reichweite bis 800 Lumen, 420 Meter länger, Ständer per Arbeitszeit - AliExpress 39

GT Nano Pro V3: LUMINTOP GT Nano Pro 3.0 1600lm 10280 USB-C EDC Keychain Flashlight – Nealsgadgets
GT Nano Pro Battery Kit: LUMINTOP GT NANO 10750 Battery Kit – Nealsgadgets

Both flashlights are similar in user interface with memory mode for the 3 main modes, shortcuts to Moonlight (press&hold from OFF), Turbo (2 clicks from ON or OFF) , Strobe - SOS - Beacon (3 clicks).
Lock on/off with 4 clicks and enable/disable the switch light with 7 clicks.

Note that if you previously used Low, Medium or High, if now you press&hold to access Moonlight and then want to proceed in the mode progression, it will jump from Moonlight to that last used/memorized mode, unlike the Olight UIs, in which you can advance normally from Moonlight to Low.

The small battery 10280 (3.7V, 300mAh) and small tube are included in the pack, while 10750 (3.7V, 700mAh) battery and tube may need to be purchased separately (like I did with the GT Nano Pro).

The Nano puts out 700 lumens, while the Nano Pro goes up to 1600 lumens. Both get HOT pretty quick, since they are still small and thin.

These lights can be used as keychain or EDC flashlights.
They can also be used with the 10180 and 10440 batteries and even with 3xAAA batteries if you have the longer tube!

USB-C charging is a plus, and I only miss a lower Moonlight and the battery indicator from the Narsil versions!

The Nano V3 has some shift in the hotspot, which only bothers you if you are white wall hunting, and the Nano Pro V3 has 3 Cold White non-stated leds, which are CW but not that coooold to the point they freeze vision. Of course, High CRI 5700K Leds would be better :innocent:

3 Thanks

A viewer on YT asked me about the use of the different batteries and the impacts on lumens.

It led me to do a simple test both with the Nano and the Nano PRO, using 4 different batteries!

I did ceiling bounce using my luxmeter, on a counter, 1,70cm afar from the ceiling.

I noted down the highest LUX values, without timing, just the highest value!

Here are some numbers:

GT Nano V3
10180 cell - 44 lux
10440 cell - 73 lux
10280 cell - 87 lux
10750 cell - 111 lux

GT Nano PRO V3
10180 cell - 90 lux
10440 cell - 155 lux
10280 cell - 194 lux
10750 cell - 300 lux

So, despite not scientific, i guess this shows that the new batteries (10280 and 10750) definitely improve the numbers, compared with the older cells (10180 and 10440).

As I mentioned in the videos and above, using these lights it for long periods make them hot, and it will not sustain the lumens for a long time, but for small bursts, it works well!

Any questions or comments, let me know!
