[REVIEW] Mateminco CSF-04

Hi everyone, today I’m gonna have a look at a nifty little EDC light : Mateminco CSF-04

This flashlight has been provided by FlashLightBrand.com for free in exchange of a review.
My point of view might be biased by the fact it was free but I’l try to be as honest as possible given the price of this light.

First of all, here is what’s inside of the box :

Yep, no accessorie at all, not even a lanyard or spare o-ring. That said, I never used them so I will not complain about it.

We all know that format, every flashlight manufacturer has made its own variations.
Integrated li-po element, TIR optic, onboard USB charging and a nice compact form factor.

This on e has a USB-C port, which is nice. The flappy rubber cover won’t stay long I fear but smartphones don’t have any sort of protection neither and this flashlight isn’t meant to do diving sessions so…

It has a hole to be used as a keyring, or put around your neck or even on a backpack zipper.

The main LED is an SST20, and put around 300 lumens on max. For 15 seconds. Then it lower the output to not cook itselt because of the lack of thermal conductivity of the plastic body ! You can buy either the cool white 6500K or the more interesting 4000K CRI95 version.
The only button is used for every functionality :

Here are some pics and vids of the different modes :

Main LED, useful beam with the TIR, and ramping is really smooth.

UV aux (405nm I think)

Red aux

Blue aux (quite powerful)

Red flashing

Blue flashing

Police mode

The 5 clicks mode : RGB beacon

I think Mateminco did good with this one, and tried to please the geeky side of flashlight enthusiasts with all those modes especially the RGB one.
I find it simple to use, and on a daily basis it will surefly find a place.

I want to thank FlashLightBrand.com once again for providing the flashlight, please feel free to visit their page.
You will find the Mateminco CSF-O4 here for less than 20USD
