[Review] Nightwatch Avaritia A54U - the world's brightest EDC flashlight!

Is there a coupon code

A coupon code was automatically added to my order, something like “WILGROUX” (??). I then tried to add the other code on the web site “NDNL” but that did not work.

I just ordered one and it somehow put a code in SIMPLYCODES. I didn’t expect the $8 shipping charge at the end though. As previously it told me I qualified for free shipping. Maybe the discount took it below the threshold . So it ended up being close to a wash.

The code that was added to my order automatically WILGROUX doesn’t work anymore (or I didn’t remember correctly), but I just tried this one found by googling: THANGVUDUC and it worked.

Yes it worked, but same thing. It went from free shipping to $8. So I would save ~$2

Ah Neal. So “clever” and got me again LOL.

I placed an order yesterday. Got a shipping email today. I’m looking forward to it.

The price of 95 CRI was reduced to the same as non high CRI version. They also changed optional battery to EVE 50PL

2 Thanks

My package is in limbo somewhere in the US without any update. Sigh. Probably related to USPS problem with China-US shipments between September 10 to September 16.

EDIT: Second page added - thanks @Qubeet

There’s the second page

I am happy to report that the latest A54 Ultra 2 that I got with the high CRI LED does not overcharge the cell. At termination the Eve 50PL showed 4.23 volts. A bit higher than I like, but not the 4.4V+ that I saw with the first version I got.

Got one on Sep 26. Mine has a bit of green tint +0.0040. I tested outside with EVE 50PL battery

Here are the beamshots
Turbo mode

The rest are with Low 2 mode

The turbo mode heat up very very fast. Faster than M21B with LHP73B

1 Thank

Thanks for the beam shots… Yes the thing gets very hot very fast…
Interesting on the DUV that you got. I need to get out the Opple. Visually the one I got doesn’t seem that green.

You guys are killing me. My light still in twilight zone.

I don’t know why I do this to myself, but having gotten refund from paypal for the seized package, I just reorder’ed the light.

Ordering from Neal brings some degree of anxiety but I can’t get over the 95 CRI. Same light, same strange code THANGVUDUC to save 2 bucks.

1 Thank

I get it… :smiling_imp:
I like the one I got, Definitely not as bright as the original one I got, but, especially if you prefer the lower CCT and Higher CRI, it is quite nice. I am sure that you will like it.

1 Thank

I’m sure they overstate the lumen rating a bit, has anyone with the light done any tests to see what if it’s actually close to the 30,000 or 20,000 lumens stated?

One guy’s measurements.

They overstate their claims not by a huge amount but they’re overstated I don’t know why people buy 30,000 lumens it’s not going to maintain that for very long I like these lights especially their the second version of their model because it can sustain a thousand lumens for well over 2 hours has a constant current driver in it I wouldn’t buy it because of the turbo mode I buy it because it can hold a thousand lumens without getting too hot unlike the vast majority of flashlights that cannot maintain 600 without getting hot in less than 10 minutes

Different people have different interests and use. Not everyone has the same goals as you. I don’t use my light for work. It’s a hobby and my hobby-interests are ultra brightness, super long throw, and beautiful high CRI tint. Sustained brightness and efficiency are not what I am looking for here. For my walk lights, sure yes, I post about it here, for these lights, no.

I hope now you do know. The nice thing about a forum is you could just skip threads about high-lumen lights and posts about Convoy 3x21C with LHP531, etc. They are not what you’re looking for.
